Update schmupdate!

The whole ‘regular updating’ idea isn’t really working for me lately. I’ve been rather busy, and felt like there was little to nothing interesting to report, so I left Woriparadise and it’s slightly dusty Publish button alone. But, just for you, I’ll write an update. I’m so nice!

So, what have I been up to? Well, same ol’ same ol’, really. I’ve been chatting away with Youn-hee last weekend, doing almost nothing actually productive (read: work stuff), but that’s ok. It’s good to have a weekend like that sometimes.

I’ve been pretty busy with work, and I’m enjoying it a lot. I wish I had more time for my own projects, but right now (and for the past 6 months..) I seem to only have time for clients and their questions. Then again, clients equal money (that is, when/if they pay..), and that’s never bad. Especially if you’ve got a nice vacation coming up!

So I’ve got my hands on a brand sparkling new project that is not 100% sure yet, but pretty sure already. And, of all places, my partner-in-crime on this project is located in… Oklahoma, USA! From day one I wanted to make Deibu an international business, working without borders (©), so I’m off to a good start. Aside from this, I’ve got another project coming up from the land of the morning calm (Yes, that’s korea), and a huge one in The Netherlands. Of course my own projects (like my actual website) are still a work-in-progress as-well, so I’ve got plenty of reasons to never see the sunlight again. Blegh.

On a side note, Woriparadise moved servers! You should notice this by the improved speed in loading the pages, amongst other things. I finally made the jump and went to semi-dedicated hosting (based on virtualization, long and geeky story). This means that I now can do whatever I want with this server, and not be limited by strange things that you can only find on shared hosting servers.

I’ll slightly abuse woriparadise for a random work-related post from time to time, but this by no means will be standard. I’ll post more personal stuff later on, once I actually have something to show :).

For now, check out some more photos (and videos) on my Flickr page, and our Vimeo page!

Cheers,

-Dave
