thursday november 20th 2008 ~ by Dave

This message is written by Dave How I miss blogging.

I’ve been blogging for over 5 years now. Going all the way back MSN Spaces (Where I blogged about a ‘leaked’ version of Windows Vista. Yep.), then to Blogger (Back when it wasn’t owned by Google even), and then finally to Wordpress. I started out on davejansen.com, went over to foreverlost.net with some side blogs here and there, and now I’m at WoriParadise.

I’ve had several reincarnations of my blogs also. There were times where I pulled everything offline, swearing off anything that even remotely resembled blogging, only to bring it back up the very next day. (Thanks, dad.) But I still love blogging. And I miss it.

Back in the day, my blogs were about everything and nothing. From small news-like thingies of topics I stumbled upon to personal messages of things that happened in my life to gadget-related ramblings. Nowadays I’m either writing a little topic about something small, or nothing at all. What started out as a break from blogging, resulted in me wanting to blog, but just never really doing it.

I want to change that. The same way I changed my mind about twitter. I want to write about random crap again, and about tech stuff. There’s a geek inside me that craves for this stuff, and there’s a hidden romantic in there somewhere too that really wants to show his words again.

I designed this theme a while ago on a whim. It suddenly came to mind to use a design like this, because it represented my life at the moment oh-so well. Youn-hee in Korea, and me in Holland. Two separate blogs, and yet it’s only just one. Now, with me being in korea for close to 60 days now, I believe it’s time to change the theme again. I didn’t get the time to design a new one yet, but I hope I can do that sometime soon.

But that shouldn’t stop me from writing again. Design has nothing to do with a blog’s content anyway. So, to kick of this hopeful return-from-the-dead idea, I will start writing more often about random stuff. Some posts may not be as interesting for you, some may be really geeky, but that’s who I am. Deal with it ;).
